Mad Middles Science
We used purple cabbage juice to test if some common household items are acids or bases.




                            Pouring boiling water over the cabbage created a brilliant purple solution.


The purple solution changes colour.  It turns red if an acidic substance like lemon juice is added.  It will turn blue if a base - like baking soda is added.

                        The helpful technicians look on as the purple solution changes red.
