MI celebrations

Thanks again to all of our amazing parents.  Our MI this term was full of wonderful creations.  Our parents shared all of their wonderful knowledge with us.
Here are a few of the photos taken on our last day.

Matariki Celebrations
Thursday 30th June 2016
Today we got into our houses and celebrated the Maori new year.
We had lots of fun with teachers organising a variety of activities.
We finished our celebrations at lunchtime with a shared sausage sizzle.

We were also lucky enough to have Tama and Waiora's mum, Shonnie, come in on Wednesday to make fried bread with some of our children.  It was so yum and Shonnie makes it look easy.  We were lucky to have Shonnie come and share her skills with us.

Spike Percussion Band

Thanks to our wonderful PTA our children had an amazing performance on Tuesday.  There was noise, fire and and lots of beats.  The band had the children engrossed for 45 minutes.  Here are just a few of the pics and videos taken.  You might even see a clip of Mr T (aka Superman) and Mr H (Hulk).

Check out our talented children making the sounds of a rain forest

Here is the fire percushion.   The band members were very clear with the children that they shouldn'the try at home as well as how much they had researched how to do this amazing display safely.
